Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced today that their significant investment in marketing and expanding their Greek program makes 2024 their largest ever program of flights and holidays to Greece.
Due to substantial expansion, backed by a robust joint-marketing campaign with the Greek National Tourist Office (GNTO), the UK’s leading tour operator and third-largest airline now offers an unparalleled selection of destinations across Greece from 11 UK airports. This extensive program comprises over 100 routes from the UK to 14 Greek airports, along with 20 holiday destinations available through Jet2holidays in 2024.
In response to high demand from customers and independent travel agents seeking Greek holidays, the companies are introducing Symi and Athens Coast for Summer 2024. Additionally, seven new routes will be launched:
- Liverpool – Corfu
- Liverpool – Heraklion
- Liverpool – Kos
- Liverpool – Rhodes (exclusive)
- Liverpool – Zante (exclusive)
- Birmingham – Mytilene
- Newcastle – Chania
With over 1.52 million seats available to Greece in 2024, marking a 12% capacity increase, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate nearly 320 weekly flights during peak periods. The expanded services will cover 14 Greek airports, including Athens, Corfu, Chania (Crete), Heraklion (Crete), Kefalonia, Halkidiki, Kos, Kalamata, Lesvos, Preveza, Rhodes, Skiathos, Santorini, and Zante.
Responding to customer and partner demands, the companies have extended the summer season by adding more capacity in March and April to Crete (Heraklion), Corfu, Lesvos, Rhodes, and Santorini. Furthermore, programs for Crete (Heraklion) and Rhodes have been extended until mid-November.
In addition to the expanded routes and holiday offerings, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have increased their accommodation options, offering almost 1,500 2-5-star hotels and introducing 200 new hotels in 2024. With Jet2Villas, holidaymakers can also choose from almost 300 villa properties.
Supporting this expansion, the companies launched a comprehensive joint-marketing campaign with GNTO a year ago. This multi-channel campaign, spanning offline and online advertising, social media, press trips, and high-profile partnerships, has yielded successful results in terms of visibility, reach, and engagement.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ CEO, Steve Heapy, expressed appreciation for the partnership with GNTO and affirmed the company’s commitment to investing in the promotion and expansion of its Greece program. He highlighted the significance of their joint marketing campaign in boosting awareness and sales, especially during the crucial early booking period for UK holidaymakers.
