The most outstanding travel, tourism, and hospitality brands in the Middle East were revealed at a grand gala ceremony held at Atlantis The Royal, Dubai. Esteemed members of the tourism industry gathered at Dubai’s newest resort for a spectacular evening to honor the winners of the 2023 World Travel Awards.
At the prestigious World Travel Awards (WTA) Middle East Gala Ceremony 2023, Dubai secured top honors as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Destination’ and ‘Middle East’s Leading Tourist Board’. Doha had a triumphant night, clinching the coveted titles of ‘Middle East’s Leading City Destination’ and ‘Middle East’s Leading Sports Tourism Destination’. Additionally, Abu Dhabi was recognized as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Business Travel Destination’.
Graham Cooke, Founder, WTA expressed his gratitude and said that it was a privilege to host the 30th anniversary celebrations at Atlantis The Royal, Dubai. He says, “Our winners represent stellar examples of tourism excellence, and I congratulate each and every one for helping to raise the collective benchmark to even greater heights”.
One of the biggest winners in the aviation industry was Qatar Airways, which won the title of “Middle East’s Leading Airline.” Middle East’s Leading Airline – Business Class went to Etihad Airways, while Middle East’s Leading Airline Brand and Middle East’s Leading Airline – First Class went to Emirates. Oman Air triumphed over fierce competition to become the “Leading Airline – Economy Class” in the Middle East.
With its sumptuous beachfront retreat, Jumeirah Al Naseem, dubbed “Middle East’s Leading Hotel”.
In the newcomer categories, Raffles Doha was honored as the ‘Middle East’s Leading New Hotel’, and Atlantis The Royal received the title of ‘Middle East’s Leading New Resort’. Middle East’s Leading Resort was awarded to Atlantis, The Palm, a sister property that is always a favorite. ‘Middle East’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’ was given to The Ascott Limited.
Among travel providers, Nirvana Travel and Tourism received awards for ‘Middle East’s Leading Tour Operator’ and ‘Middle East’s Leading Destination Management Company’. Regency Travel & Tours was named the ‘Middle East’s Leading Travel Agency’, and Almosafer earned the title of ‘Middle East’s Leading Online Travel Agency’. The award for ‘Middle East’s Leading Sightseeing Bus Tour Operator’ was presented to Big Bus Tours.
