Thailand’s Pride Nation Samui International Festival, June 24-29, 2024, celebrates Pride Month and promotes Ko Samui, Surat Thani, as a welcoming LGBTQ+ destination.
The ‘Pride Nation Samui International Festival’ is set to take place on Ko Samui, Surat Thani, from June 24-29, 2024. This festival will celebrate Pride Month and promote Thailand as an LGBTQ+ friendly destination. The event theme, “Let’s Join PRIDEradise,” aims to transform Samui island into a paradise of unity and pride, also around 100,000 visitors are expected to visit.
Pride Week, happening from June 24-28, will feature creative seminars, welcoming events for LGBTQIAN+ tourists, workshops, and marriage certificate registration. The festivities will include community parties, trendy photo spots, art installations, and happenings at various hotels and landmarks around the island.
The grand celebration on June 29 will take place on Chaweng Walking Street, starting at 17:00. Government partners, private sectors, locals, LGBTQIAN+ icons, artists, and influencers will gather to empower all prides and mark the beginning of Samui’s transformation into PRIDEradise.
According to IGLTA, Thailand stands out as a top destination in Asia for LGBTQ+ travelers. The warm and welcoming nature of the Thai people has made the country a favorite for LGBTQ+ tourists for many years. Often called The Land of Smiles, Thailand lives up to its reputation with its friendly and inclusive atmosphere. The festival’s finale will be a Music Festival: Celebration Party featuring popular Thai LGBTQIAN+ artists like Engfa Waraha, MILLI, and Badmixy, alongside global DJs such as Sick Individuals, Rave Republic, Didi Han, DJ Saliva, and BongBongQuayQuay.
