Qatar listed a 78 percent year-on-year upsurge in tourists in August this year, as per information
disclosed by the Planning and Statistics Authority.
Around 264,000 travelers visited the country, even though this marked an 8.5 percent decline when
equated to the month of July this year.

The Qatar Monthly Statistics statement specified that 43 percent of tourists in the month of August came
from the Gulf Cooperation Council nations. Majority of these tourists came by air, contributing 62 percent of the overall number.
In August, the total number of vessels coming at Qatar’s harbors witnessed a 10.3 percent upsurge
