Located in the village of Zarecje, in the center of Croatia’s Istria wine region, Pazin waterfall is the best hidden waterfall in Croatia. Zarecki Krov “Zarecki Roof” as the name suggests, resembles a wide rock base that hangs over the watering hole that is a part of the Pazincica river. I visited Pazin waterfall in June (one of the peak months of tourism in Croatia), and had the place entirely to myself. Pazin waterfall offers a range of activities, including swimming, cliff jumping, and hiking. The rocks surrounding the waterfall provide the perfect spot to have a picnic with a stunning view. I stayed here for 3 hours, but easily could have stayed the entire day. Pazin waterfall offers a beautiful landscape and relaxing atmosphere that I didn’t think was still possible in Croatia during the summer.
Pazin Waterfall Price
If you have been to other waterfalls in Croatia, including Plitvice Lakes (which have a 20 euro entrance fee), you may be wondering what the price is to enter Pazin waterfall. Unlike most attractions in Croatia, Pazin waterfall is 100% free.
How to get to Zarecki Krov Waterfall?
While Zarecki Krov waterfall is off the beaten path, it is very accessible if you have a car. There are two roads that you can use to reach the waterfall, and both have free parking. Just type in Pazin waterfalls into google maps, and drive your car to the end of either of those roads. I came from the road from the North side, and after parking at the end of the road it was only a 5 minute walk to the waterfall. You can use this picture below for reference.
