Now Himachal Pradesh open for visitors

Now, Himachal Pradesh is opened for tourists as hotels located in well-known travel destinations of the state have decided to offer lucrative discounts, a senior official on Tuesday said this.

From Delhi to Shimla, flight services of Alliance Air and further from Shimla to Dharamshala have been restarted at a much discounted fares, he mentioned.

Tourist resorts of Shimla, Kasauli,  Narkanda, Chail, Kinnaur, Mcleodganj, Dharamshala, Palampur, Khajjiar and Dalhousie have opened once again and roads to these places are now absolutely safe to travel, said Amit Kashyap, the Director of Tourism Department in a recent statement.

Kashyap stated that tourists can make the most of these discounted rates in the current season as most of the hotels in this hill state are currently providing so.

During monsoon, the recent heavy rains created major disruptions in travel in various road stretches, but with initiations of the state government to reinstate the same tremendously fast, now, tourists can travel to Kangra, Shimla, Chamba, and other districts, he mentioned.

During July and August, the monsoon rage in Shimla created immense destruction, activating landslides and flash floods with massive destruction to public as well as private property other than human lives and property. The tourism sector contributes seven per cent to the State Gross Domestic Product.
