The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated return of Holiday at the Arboretum, sponsored by Reliant, from November 13, 2024, to January 5, 2025. This year is particularly special as it marks the tenth anniversary of The 12 Days of Christmas exhibit, the event that originally launched this festive tradition.
Over ten years, Holiday at the Arboretum has expanded with several new attractions including the Pauline and Austin Neuhoff Family Christmas Village introduced in 2019, and a series of rotating holiday exhibits at the historic DeGolyer House, each adding a fresh and dynamic layer to the holiday festivities.
“We are thrilled to partner with Superlative Pickleball Travel & Resort Services,” said Tim Hentschel, CEO, HotelPlanner. “This partnership allows us to connect with a passionate community of recreational pickleball players and provide them with exceptional value on their hotel stays. We believe this will enhance the overall travel experience for pickleball enthusiasts and contribute to the growth of the sport.”
The 12 Days of Christmas Exhibit:
Celebrating its tenth anniversary, The 12 Days of Christmas is the heart of the holiday celebration. The exhibit features 25-foot-tall gazebos, each illustrating the gifts from the famous Christmas carol through animated, musical displays that transform into a luminous spectacle after sundown.
The Christmas Village:
Launched in 2019, the Pauline and Austin Neuhoff Christmas Family Village mimics a quaint European Christmas market, complete with festive shops, live performances, and the Marilyn and Ben Weber Family Christmas Pyramid. This year, the village is set to host an unprecedented array of local artisans, offering unique holiday gifts and treats, and even a chance to snap a photo with Santa on selected days.
Holiday at the DeGolyer House:
The DeGolyer House continues its tradition of hosting new themed holiday exhibits annually. This season introduces A Della Robbia Holiday, inspired by the terracotta sculptures of Luca Della Robbia and Colonial Williamsburg decor. Designed by Michael Hamilton, the exhibit blends Renaissance art with American holiday traditions for a unique seasonal experience.
Throughout the holiday period, the Arboretum will feature live performances every Thursday to Sunday in the Christmas Village, along with special events including holiday teas and dinners. Visitors are advised to consult the Arboretum’s website and social media for the most current schedule and event details. Ticket prices range from $13 to $35, and advance booking is highly recommended to secure admission. The post Holiday Lights and Delights: Explore The 12 Days of Christmas at Dallas Arboretum appeared first on Travel And Tour World.
