In October 2024, Air Serbia reached a new milestone by transporting 381,386 passengers across its scheduled and charter services, marking a 4% rise from the same month in 2023. The airline, serving as Serbia’s national carrier, conducted 4,071 flights from its bases in Belgrade, Niš, and Kraljevo, an increase of 49 flights compared to October of the previous year.
During the first ten months of 2024, Air Serbia saw substantial growth, with passenger numbers exceeding 3.8 million. This represents a 7% increase over the same period in 2023, showcasing the airline’s expansion and consistent focus on improving service and broadening its reach across its operational network.
“October, our birthday month, was very special. At the beginning of it, we welcomed our 30-millionth passenger since we began operating under the name Air Serbia, and just a few days later, a new Airbus A330-200 aircraft for long-haul flights joined our fleet. Our strategy of expanding our fleet and network of destinations has proven to be successful. Thanks to this, and the trust that passengers show us every day, we are recording record results month after month. We will continue to expand our network in the upcoming period by introducing direct flights to Shanghai, Ibiza, Mykonos, and Sardinia. I believe this will delight our passengers,” said Boško Rupić, General Manager Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia.
In October, Air Serbia’s top regional destinations included Tivat and Podgorica, while in Western Europe, Zurich, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Rome, Frankfurt, and Milan ranked as the most popular. Within the Euro-Mediterranean region, Larnaca, Istanbul, and Athens were among the most highly demanded routes.
