They calculated the total number of hashtagged posts by combining commonly used names and full names for each park, such as #lakedistrict and #lakedistrictnationalpark.
- Lake District National Park – With a staggering 5,150,856 hashtagged posts, the Lake District reigns as the top Instagrammable spot in the UK. Situated in Cumbria in the Northwest of England, this UNESCO World Heritage Site sprawls across 912 square miles. The hashtag #lakedistrict dominated with 4,340,437 posts, while #lakedistrictnationalpark followed with 569,348 posts.
- Peak District National Park – Ranking fifth in Instagram popularity among countryside destinations, the Peak District boasts 2,866,251 hashtagged posts.
