Jammu Tourism launches Jammu’s first open-air cinema show

An open-air theater experience was introduced, allowing movie buffs to watch films outside on the beautiful lawns of Bagh-e-Bahu in Jammu.As part of the government’s “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” and “Meri Maati Mera Desh” initiatives, the Directorate of Tourism in Jammu took the people of Jammu on a patriotic journey that included a movie screening, tricolored theme illumination, and a musical fountain show at the Aquaplex Crown Bagh-e-Bahu Jammu.

Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner for Jammu, gave a ceremonial recital of the national anthem before introducing the much-anticipated Bollywood blockbuster “Uri: The Surgical Strike” and dedicating the open-air cinema to the people of Jammu.

Notably, this is Jammu’s first Open Air Cinema Experience.The occasion was the ideal fusion of entertainment and patriotism, leaving a lasting impression on everyone’s heart.A magical experience for those in attendance, Jammuities also took advantage of the Open Air Cinema while paddle boating in the lake at the Musical Fountain area. The celebrations carried on with an enthralling cinematic experience at the magnificent Aquaplex Crown Musical Fountain, Bagh-e-Bahu, where the heroic story of “Uri” came to life on the big screen beneath a starry sky, UNI reports.

According to Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar, the Aquaplex Crown Bagh-e-Bahu is a fantastic effort on the part of the Directorate of Tourism Jammu to bring Open Air Cinema Experience to the Jammu region. It is also an addition to the region’s ever-expanding, diverse list of tourism products.

He hoped that many people, particularly bloggers and social media influencers, would visit this location to watch movies under the Open Sky, which is going to be a regular feature. Films will be shown on the Open Screen under the supervision of the Directorate of Tourism Jammu.

‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ is a government program, and according to Vivekanand Rai, director of tourism in Jammu, the department has organized a number of events.

Sunaina Mehta, Joint Director of Tourism in Jammu, told the UNI that Bahu Fort is a revered icon for all Jammuities and that the tourism department is devoted to promoting it as a key tourist destination.

“Such initiatives of the Jammu Tourism Directorate are dedicated towards nurturing a deeper connection between the people and their motherland, reinforcing the values of togetherness and pride to our heritage and culture,” the UNI quoted her as saying.

The audience responded with a spirited response by chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” during the performance.
