The World Travel Awards, recognized as the premier authority for celebrating excellence in travel and tourism, has announced the winners for the Middle East in 2024. This unveiling aligns with the Arabian Travel Market, the leading event in the region’s travel sector.

Key winners include Saadiyat Island, recognized as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Beach Destination’, and Abu Dhabi, which received accolades as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Business Travel Destination’. Dubai was honored as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Destination’, while Doha was named the ‘Middle East’s Leading City Destination’. Saudi Arabia’s growing prominence in tourism was acknowledged with awards such as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Heritage Destination’ and ‘Middle East’s Leading Cultural Destination’, with AlUla spotlighted as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Cultural Tourism Project’. Additionally, Bahrain was chosen as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Wedding Destination’.

In the competitive hospitality industry, Jumeirah Al Naseem emerged as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Hotel’. Burj Al Arab Jumeirah was celebrated for being the ‘Middle East’s Leading All-Suite Hotel’. Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach was distinguished as ‘Middle East’s Leading Luxury Resort’, and The Royal Mansion @ Atlantis The Royal was honored as ‘Middle East’s Leading Hotel Suite’.

Jumeirah was recognized as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Luxury Hotel Brand’; Address Hotels + Resorts as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Lifestyle Hotel Brand’; and The Ascott Limited as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand’.

In the newcomer categories, Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay and Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort were awarded as ‘Middle East’s Leading New Hotel’ and ‘Middle East’s Leading New Resort’ respectively.

In the aviation sector, Qatar Airways was celebrated as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline’. Etihad Airways won for ‘Middle East’s Leading Cabin Crew’ and ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline – Economy Class’, while Emirates achieved awards for ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline – First Class’, ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline Brand’, and its Skywards program as ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline Rewards Programme’.
