The ancient city of Ayodhya in India is poised to emerge as a new travel and tourism destination in the world tourism industry, thanks to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony and the opening of the newly built Ram temple scheduled for tomorrow. This grand inauguration ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple is not just a significant spiritual and cultural event, but also a pivotal moment in Ayodhya’s transformation into a global tourism hotspot.
The event is drawing attention not only from within India but also from international dignitaries, including Kim Chil-su from South Korea. To accommodate the anticipated surge in tourists, the Indian government has spearheaded the development of tourism infrastructure. This includes the construction of Ayodhya Airport and a new railway station, enhancing the city’s connectivity. Major airlines such as Indigo, Air India, SpiceJet, and Akasha Air have begun operating flights to Ayodhya from key Indian cities like Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad. In addition, Indian Railways has announced special trains to facilitate travelers’ journey to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. The government has also unveiled an ambitious tourism infrastructure investment plan, amounting to 85000 crores INR over the next decade.
The ceremony will be attended by a host of dignitaries, including the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Other prominent attendees include Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel, and Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, president of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Political figures such as RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, members of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Akhilesh Yadav, Manmohan Singh, former Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, and Amitabh Kant are also expected to be present.
The event will see a strong representation from the industrial sector, including Gautam Adani, Ratan Tata, the Mukesh Ambani family, Kumar Mangalam Birla, N Chandrasekaran, Anil Agarwal, Ajay Piramal, Anand Mahindra, and DCM Shriram’s Ajay Shriram. From the IT sector, TCS CEO K Krithivasan, K Satish Reddy, Punit Goenka, S N Subrahmanyan and his wife, Durali Divi, N R Narayana Murthy, Naveen Jindal, and Naresh Trehan will be in attendance.
The film industry will be represented by luminaries such as Mohanlal, Rajnikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Madhuri Dixit, Chiranjeevi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Akshay Kumar, Dhanush, Randeep Hooda, Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, Rishab Shetty, Madhur Bhandarkar, Ajay Devgn, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff, Yash, Prabhas, Ayushmann Khurrana, Alia Bhatt, Sunny Deol, Allu Arjun, and others. Prominent artists like Amjad Ali, Manoj Muntashir, Prasoon Joshi, Sanjay Bhansali, and Chandraprakash Dwivedi are also expected.
Sportspersons Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Deepika Kumari, and Indian women’s cricket captain Mitali Raj will grace the event.
